Infant Feeding

Infant Feeding in Orlando: Bottles, First Meals, and Daily Updates at Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips

When you go back to work in Orlando, you need a clear plan for every bottle and first meal your baby has without you. With us, infant feeding means following your bottle routine, starting first foods together with you, and keeping you updated while you're at work. Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips provides licensed child care in Dr. Phillips. We hold Florida Gold Seal Quality Care status. The same named infant teachers care for your baby every day. We're open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Your next step is to book an infant room tour.

Part of Every Day

Infant Feeding Is Built Into Full-Time Infant Care in Dr. Phillips

Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips includes infant feeding in full-time infant care. Bottles, first foods, and feeding notes are part of every day in our infant room. Our infant care starts at 6 weeks.

You'll see the same infant room teachers each day, so the teacher who gives the morning bottle knows how the last one went.

You can check our credentials yourself:

  • Florida Gold Seal Quality Care, awarded by the Florida Department of Children and Families
  • DCF licensure, which Gold Seal requires before a center can earn the award
  • A.P.P.L.E. Accreditation (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment)
  • N.E.C.P.A. Accreditation (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation), valid through April 30, 2027

The N.E.C.P.A. review looks at how adults interact with children and how the school works with parents. Both matter at feeding time.

Many families move to Dr. Phillips from other states and have no local friends to ask about child care. For those parents, Gold Seal status is an outside check from a state agency, not just our word. We have served Dr. Phillips families since 2013.

Before the First Day

Share Your Baby's Feeding Routine Before the First Day

Your baby's feeding routine is the first thing our infant teachers need to learn. The return to work after leave is hard enough without worrying that the bottle schedule will fall apart. Before the first day, tell the teachers:

  • Bottle times and amounts
  • Whether your baby drinks formula, breast milk, or both
  • Any allergies

Then ask our director, Ms. Yliana Gomez, which supplies to bring and how to label each bottle. Labels matter in an infant room. Several babies may drink the same brand of formula, and a clear label keeps every bottle with the right child.

Knowing your routine lets teachers plan your baby's day around the one you built at home. If your baby takes a bottle and then naps, for example, teachers can keep that same order, so your baby doesn't have to learn a new pattern on top of a new room.

Steady Hands

Named Infant Room Teachers Handle Each Bottle and Feeding

Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips keeps the same named teachers in the infant room, so your baby is not passed among many hands. You'll know exactly who feeds your child, and parents mention our infant teachers by name across multiple reviews.

Steady care changes how feeding goes. A teacher who sees your baby every day learns the small signs. Hunger cues come before crying, such as rooting (turning the head and opening the mouth toward a touch on the cheek) or sucking on hands. Some babies need a burp halfway through a bottle, while others only need one at the end. And because a late bottle can push back a nap, a good teacher plans for it.

A rotating staff has to relearn these signs every shift, and that can make feedings harder. Our teachers stay with the same age group all day, and we keep ratios at all times.

Director

All of our staff meet or exceed Florida state credential requirements, and all are CPR/First Aid certified. Director Ms. Yliana Gomez has more than 15 years of childcare experience. She holds the National Child Development Associate (CDA) credential from the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., as well as the Florida Director Credential.

No Guessing at Work

Check Every Feeding With Real-Time App Updates and Live Camera Access

Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips gives parents real-time app updates and live camera access, so you can stay connected to your baby's day. When you're at work, you shouldn't have to guess how a feeding went.

Between updates, you can open the live classroom cameras and see the infant room for yourself. You can also message teachers directly to adjust bottle timing or amounts, which helps when your baby's needs change during the day. Say your baby had a rough night and ate early. You can message the teacher to move the next bottle instead of waiting until pickup.

Families tell us our front desk addresses concerns the same day. A question you raise in the morning gets handled while it still matters.

Many Dr. Phillips parents work shifts at theme parks and hotels. You may not have time for a phone call, but a quick look at the app between tasks can keep you up to date.

Cooked On Site

Fresh Daily Meals Support Your Baby's Move to Table Foods

Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips serves fresh, balanced meals daily through our on-site nutrition program. Our own cook prepares breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack on site. As your child starts solids and heads toward our toddler classes, ask our director when these meals become part of the day.

First foods need a plan. Talk with teachers before each switch, such as starting solids or adding a new food, and share any allergies. A slow, planned change lets teachers watch how your child does with each new food. The tradeoff is time: a slower pace takes longer, but it makes a reaction easier to spot and trace to one food.

Once your child eats our meals and snacks, you pack less each morning, and that carries into toddler care too. For Bay Hill and Williamsburg families, it means you can skip a food stop on a busy commute and head straight to work.

See It Before You Enroll

Book an Infant Room Tour That Fits 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM Workdays

An infant room tour at Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips shows you how feeding works before you enroll. Our weekday hours run 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and we offer flexible scheduling. These hours help hospitality and corporate workers who start early or finish late.

On the tour, you can meet our infant teachers and see the infant room. Bring your questions, such as:

  • How will you follow my baby's bottle schedule?
  • What meals will my child eat after starting solids?
  • How do the app updates work during the day?

Write your questions down before you come. A tour moves fast, and a written list makes sure you leave with answers about bottles, meals, and updates.

Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips is the closest daycare to Universal Studios Orlando, just 2.6 miles (about 13 minutes) away. If you work at Universal or nearby, drop-off and pickup can fit into your commute.
